Hello Everyone!
This is usually used for my business as a blog, but because my business is in France right now I found it to be appropriate to use this as my way for mass communication. First and foremost I would like to take a chance again to thank my supporters for the prayer and your donations, without you I would not be here right now! Yes I am in France as we speak! It is so amazing and God has really opened my eyes to a lot of new things already. Heres a summary and pictures of what has gone on thus far.
To start my trip off right I thought I would get a change, for the newest change in my life. I got a haircut! about 5 inches off!
Then I drove with my Aunt Judy and Uncle Ted 2 hours in the rain to get to the airport in NJ and I had a direct flight to Brussels Belgium.
It was the most amazing thing being in an international airport, the whole time I was just trying to guess what country the people were from. There was so many beautiful people from so many backgrounds it made me so happy to actually see some culture.. and I was only in the airport! haha. I got on the plane and had a free seat next to me so I put my feet up and slept almost the whole way. I was so excited to land and be in another country! I went through customs very quickly and met Kevin and Debbie at the coffee place right away. The drive from Brussels to France seemed like 2 minutes because of the good conversation and scenery, but it was actually 2 hours.
Once we got across the border it was not even 10 minutes and we pulled up to my new home in Marpent France :) I got there met everyone spent time unloading my suitcases and slept for like 5 hours. Once I woke up, I got a bite to eat and went on a walk with Mary the woman who lives on the 3rd floor with me. Heres a picture of the house with an arrow draw where my room is (I have a skylight its pretty dang cool).

Heres a close up of the front door..

The street I live by..

And heres just some random picture I thought would be fun for everyone in America :)
A yeild sign in French!
French license plate...

A cool door....(lol)

I took some pictures on our walk. I was in complete awe as I was walking through the town and into the fields. Every where I looked could have been a picture.. CLOUDS WITHOUT PHOTOSHOP! AMAZING!
The town is in the middle of farm fields and is absolutely such a stunning town. I am so excited to be here and plan on this weekend taking a lot more pictures when I travel back into Belgium and around the area this weekend.
Oh and another thing.. CRAZY! We were walking and all of a sudden this huge thing is in the middle of a farm field, and I asked Mary what it was. She said it was a WWI bunker and that they are randomly all over the place. I was AMAZED and shocked it was still there! heres a picture..

This morning I went to the local grocery store, which was soooo overwhelming, everything is so different here.
I am so thankful I had Debbie there with me reading the labels in French I probably would have mistaken coca cola for maple syrup! Anyways I had the day off today so I have been relaxing and taking lots of cat naps all day, which was really nice of my boss. As a matter of fact, I think I am going to take another one right now. Jet lag is the pits.. Au Revoir until I write again!
Love and a Hug,
Nicole
